Sunday 5th February 2006 This walk is somewhat out of my normal territory due to a trip to London to see the musical Billy Elliot on Saturday and John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett the following night. I therefore took the opportunity to climb to the highest point in the south east of England, Leith Hill. After the gloom of January it was a real treat to see the sun although it was very hazy so no good views from the top of the hill. Start: Landslip car park (TQ 1479 4327) Route: Landslip
Car Park - Leith Hill Tower (CT) - Highashes Hill - Wotton Common -
Leith Hill
Tower (CT) Distance: 2 miles Time Taken: 1 hour 30 minutes Weather: Hazy sunshine. Cold when not in the sun. Pub visited: The Inn on the Green. Ockley Ale Drunk: Adnams Best Bitter
