It has been over a year since I walked the whole length of Lathkill Dale so today I planned to walk to Monyash in order to enjoy the limestone scenery that is at its best at the entrance to Lathkill Dale.
Start: Moor Lane car park (SK 1939 6445)
Route:
Moor Lane car park - Cales Dale - Monyash - Bagshaw Dale - Lathkill Dale - Conksbury Bridge
Distance: 11.5 miles Ascent: 469 metres Time Taken: 5 hours 50 minutes
Terrain: Good paths.
Weather: Sunny, cold at the start.
