A late afternoon walk to make the most of the sunshine that has been a very rare sight lately. 

Start: High Peak Junction (SK 3148 5609)

Route: High Peak Junction - Birch Wood - Bolehill (TP) - Big Plantation - High Peak Trail - High Peak Junction

Distance: 4 miles     Ascent: 406 metres     Time Taken: 2 hours

Terrain: Good paths.

Weather: Cool with some light showers.

Pub visited: None        Ale Drunk: None     

Cromford Canal.

The start of the route took me along the High Peak Trail for a short while.

Fine views across the Derwent Valley to Holloway.

Looking in the opposite direction towards Cromford. 
The leaves are starting to turn yellow, it must be Autumn.

Heading through Birch Wood.

no caravans on it now though.

Bolehill.

Doing exactly what I shouldn't and pointing the camera in the direction of
 the sun, to get a shot of Middleton Moor, as I climb up Bolehill.
